March Favourites

April Favourites include~
The Face Shop Volcanic Clay Blackhead Gel Oil
Aritaum Ginger Sugar Tint Lip Balm (#3 Dreaming Coral)
Nature Republic Travel Eye Liner Brush
The Face Shop Volcanic Clay Blackhead Gel Oil

I purchased this a few months ago and started using once I got it, but I did not see any kind of results after using it. Nevertheless, I continued using the product once a week and it was not until the past week or so that I started seeing results, and it was all due to an extra step.

I previously did follow the instructions given on the tube of the product and I did not see any results, which was strange because before I decided to purchase this product I had looked at a few reviews and all of them had good things to say about this product. Anyways, the last week or so I started to scrap the product off my nose rather than simply wash it off, after massaging, with water, and that's when I started seeing results after using this product. The first I simply used my nails to gently scratch my nose to see if there would be any effect and after a minute or two of scratching, I washed off the product with water and I did see some results. My blackheads were not so dark, although I could still see blackheads but they were definitely not as prominent. I used this product later on in the week, using my black/whitehead extractor tool this time, and again this product started showing effective results.

This product does leave your nose feeling smoother and blackheads are reduced, so I am happy that this product is finally working for me, or shall I say I am happy that I have finally found a way to get results using this product.

Aritaum Ginger Sugar Tint Lip Balm (#3, Dreaming Coral)

I have not purchased anything new from ebay in such a long time, and in the past few months this has been my only new product purchase. I had been thinking and needing a lip balm for a while now, especially in a tube form. I found this on ebay while the seller was holding a sale, and so I thought it was great opportunity to purchase one, seeing that the price was affordable and that it was also a tint lip balm.

Aritaum does have other colours available for this tint lip balm, but I went for the 'Dreaming Coral' shade because I have had my eye on coral lipsticks recently. Not only that, but I wanted something more natural on my lips, rather than a bright and obvious 'I am wearing lip stick' on my lips.

The tint is very moisturising, making your lips feel very smooth, and it smells great. It does smell similar to ginger but also with a tint of grapefruit. I was worried about a 'ginger' scent due to the name, but the ginger scent is not overpowering at all, and I actually find it really nice.

I have been using this every night, and throughout the day whenever I am staying at home. It's very tidy to apply, the lip balm also stays in a neat form and does not smudge or smear onto the tube packaging, keeping it in perfect condition.

Nature Republic Travel Eye Liner Brush

I actually purchased this brush months and months ago, but I had misplaced it and could not find it which led me to thinking that I might have thrown it away along with the box. However, I found the brush last month and it was actually was still in its packaging sat in my brush pot..... haha. I seemed to have found it at the right time, as my original Nature Republic Eye Liner Brush is getting old and the bristles are not as fine anymore, making it difficult to apply my eyeliner on so neatly and precise.

When I purchased this brush and was browsing through ebay options, I could not find my original eyeliner brush and so I decided to go for the travel eye liner brush, which was the closest thing I could find that the bristles looked the same as the one I already have, and I love.

The brush extends by pulling on the lower half of the wand and when shortening it again, just push the lower end with the brush back in carefully. So easy and quick.

The brush will not be dirtied as once its back to its original form, the bristles are covered by a protective layer.

Although, in my photo it does look like there is a gap between the bristles but I believe this is only because the bristles have not dried yet, since I washed them. Nevertheless, with this brush I can achieve a precise and neat eye liner wing, and I am very happy to have a back-up and new eye liner brush to replace my old one.
