Kanebo Kate Powderless Liquid for Cover Foundation

I have not updated in so long, but I have so much to update on now. I've been busy the past few months, as I've started a new job and once I'm back from work, there just doesn't seem to be that much time until I'm getting ready for bed.... And so, I got lazy and didn't update much at all. However, I've just come back from Hong Kong and I've got so many new products to try and share. The first product is the Kate Powderless Liquid For Liquid Foundation because it is the foundation for me. I have finally found it!!

Everytime I'm on the search for a new foundation or try out a new foundation, I seem to have great things to say about it, because I like to do research beforehand so I know it would suit my skin, but this foundation definitely tops every other foundation. It makes me think why did I think the other foundations were good when they are no where as good as this foundation.

I have wanted to try this foundation for such a long time but didn't get the opportunity to because it's only available in Asia, and unlike most things I purchase online this is not so easy or cheap to buy online. I also wanted to be very sure on the shade before I purchased, so I was so excited to purchase this once I got to Hong Kong.

What I think....
Where to start.... This is the foundation I have always been looking for and without a doubt the best foundation  I have tried yet.

All the other foundations I have tried, although they claim they are suitable for oily skin and will keep skin matte, I never stay matte for long and will usually have to blot on average 4 hours after application. Whereas, with this foundation I can go a day at work without blotting at all, compared to other foundations I would blot on average 2-3 times a day at work. I do start to shine after 6 hours but it's no where near as oily as I used to look with other foundation in just 4-5 hours. The Kate foundation would make my skin look like a dewy shine rather than an oily face shine. That's what I love about this foundation. I don't have to worry about how I look and having to blot, which can be very inconvenient at work, so I'm so happy to have this foundation now.

When I first tried this foundation was in Hong Kong, where it is super hot and humid and I think this foundation is also great in this type of weather. Again, I could go through a day only blotting once. However, due to the hot weather, resulting me to sweating, I would sometimes blot and because there is sweat it does remove the make-up and lines would appears. However, I do not think that it is too bad.

The consistent is not near thin, but I wouldn't say its thick as I have tried thicker foundations, such as Estee Lauder Double Wear. I would say the consistency is similar MUFE HD Foundation. The coverage is buildable, with a medium-full coverage. It blend easily and sets quickly, but I haven't really counted 15 seconds, maybe I should next time.

I have had days where I have used pressed powder after and days where I was too lazy (mostly when I was in HK) and it stays matte for long and looks just as good for as long.

The packaging is not the best, but considering how much I love the foundation itself, I have nothing to complain about. It's definitely how the foundation is for my skin over the packaging that is important for me.

I thought that this foundation was so good, I bought extra bottles to bring back to the UK with me. Hopefully, they should last me a while, considering I bought 4 bottles altogether. I bought OC-C which I found a bit too white for me, perhaps of my tan, so I bought OC-D too and have been mixing the two.

Pros
  • Skin stays matte for long
  • Good coverage
  • Skin does not look cakey or dry
  • Reasonable price
  • Super lightweight

Cons
  • Availability
  • Packaging is not very attractive

I highly recommend this foundation for those with very oily skin. I have never tried a foundation which leaves me matte for so long, and I am so happy with this foundation. The price of this is also super affordable and for what it does, I am totally in love with this right now and I can see me using this for a long long time to come, and no thoughts in changing or searching for a new foundation for quite a long time. This foundation just suits me so much, and is the foundation I have been wanting to try and I am just so in love with this foundation now. I only have praises for this foundation.

The only reason I have not given this product full points because I know how disappointed I will be if I run out of the foundation and there is limited availability to purchase another.
